Current position: Principle Scientist, Roche Sequencing Unit

Fellowship Site: Fiocruz, Salvador, Brazil

Research Interest: Spread of drug-resistant bacteria

Dr. Berman is currently working as a principle scientist at Roche Sequencing Unit. She was a graduate student in the Infectious Disease and Immunity Ph.D. program at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. She worked on the spread of drug resistant gram negative bacteria in Dr. Lee Riley’s laboratory. She continued with this work in Salvador, Brazil. Previously, she obtained an M.P.H. at UC Berkeley and worked on Group A Strep.
