Project Title: Patterns of Injury, Clinical Outcomes and Barriers to Effective Trauma Care at Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The first component is a qualitative study of the processes involved in formulating and implementing an institutional trauma registry at TASH in Addis Ababa.  The study will use data from open-ended interviews with TASH personnel about their experiences with clinical data collection and research procedures.  The second component is a quantitative study using data that has been collected through the TASH trauma registry to describe the burden of trauma that is treated at TASH and to explore barriers to effective trauma care.
